There has been a constant change for Super Junior (and their fans) over the past few years, with the members entering army one after another and bidding temporary farewells. Kangin left and returned, while leader Leeteuk and Heechul are currently serving the nation.
However, Super Junior hasn't stopped moving. In fact, change seems to have resulted in a tighter bond within the group and with fans.
At the press conference for their concert Super Show 5 on Sunday, Shindong expressed how their new concert tour is a culmination of their dreams - what each member has been dreaming of doing for the past five years.
Every member was involved in conceptualising the show, from song selection to stage design to costumes.
Adding that Super Junior is accomplishing their dream through the concert, Kyuhyun mentioned how the new show is a combination of the past four tours - which fans loved - plus a little something more.
With humble beginnings as an Asian tour in 2008, highly popular South Korean boyband Super Junior's 'Super Show' tour returns this year with its fifth instalment, which kicked off at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena over the weekend (March 23 and 24).

Having missed out on Super Show 3 and 4, Kangin, who had a lot of catching up to do, was undoubtedly under a great deal of stress and admitted to feeling 'a little nervous'. Thankfully, he was not alone. He thanked the other members for helping him fit right back into the group, and praised them for being professionals now.
'The past tours were about showing how each member is different, but now it's about us as a team,' Kangin added.
Funnyman of the group, Shindong, also thanked the others for helping him, as being expected to provide humour does give him stress.

With K-Pop music conquering fans around the world, Super Junior's management company SM Entertainment has plans to bring Super Show 5 to even more countries - their goal: 100 stops.
So far, concert dates have been confirmed for Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Super Junior is also set to perform in Tokyo Dome in July.
Concert tours are no doubt tiring, but Super Junior expressed that they have been working out more than before, and are happy to be visiting new places.
So we posed Super Junior the question that's on every Singapore ELF's mind - will there be a Super Show 5 in Singapore?
Shindong revealed that while there are no firm plans to bring the show to Singapore, they are looking at adding stops in Asia.

[Issue] Officials Dismiss Rumors That Group will Protest JYJ′s Tokyo Dome Concert

A right wing group in Japan has warned it will be protesting against the JYJ Tokyo Dome concert coming up in April, but officials have said the warning is mere rumor. A media outlet in Japan reported on March 18, "A right wing group, which is against JYJ′s concert [coming to Japan], is currently protesting in the streets, and some say it will be present at the venue on the day of the concert." The outlet quoted an official on the matter, who took a different view of the issue and said it was a struggle of interests in Japanese showbiz. The official hinted that it could be the start of a quarrel between JYJ′s current local production firm and Avex, JYJ′s previous agency in Japan. In other words, the official linked the movements to the compensation suit that Avex recently lost against JYJ and its Korean agency C-JeS Entertainment, saying that such outside powers like Avex could be trying to damage the reputation and image of JYJ. A rep from C-JeS Entertainment t...

[Issue] Super Junior’s Leeteuk Says Yesung Will Do Fine in the Army

Worrying for his fellow member awaiting army enlistment, Super Junior’s Leeteuk gave an encouraging message to Yesung. On March 27, Leeteuk and Mighty Mouth’s Sangchoo were appointed as PR ambassadors for military affairs Seoul Regional Military Manpower Office.  After going through the appointment ceremony, Leeteuk said a few words for Yesung, who is scheduled to enlist in 2013. “I want to tell Yesung this: cheer up!” said Leeteuk. “I’m sure at this point, Yesung is worried mentally and physically, wondering if he’ll be able to do well. I also had those thoughts, but once I got here, I realized that anyone can do this. So Yesung, it’s really unfortunate when I see you now, but once you enlist, you’ll start feeling sorry for the ones who aren’t in the army yet and time will go fast.” He hoped that Yesung will finish up all of his Super Junior activities well before coming to serve.
