Hongki has been confirmed for a new SBS weekend drama! On the 7th, FNC Entertainment confirmed that Hongki will be playing the lead role Lee Min Ki in 'Modern Farmer (working title)'. The drama talks about a rock band member going back to live on the farm. Hongki's character is a genius rocker that is the leader, vocalist, and guitarist of the rock band 'Excellent Souls' (shortened, apparently, to EXO). The drama will start airing on October 18th!

According to Tower Records, his nail art book has ranked number 1 for the reservation chart for the book/magazine category. He is ranked number 1 and 2 on the chart for both his Japan and Korean versions. “Lee Hong Ki Nail Book” features Lee Hong Ki’s own unique nail art design and his own tips and tricks on doing nails. He also reveals many different stories about nail art. This book will be released on July 12 in both Korea and Japan. This book is currently up for reservations through the FNC store, Interpark and many other internet book stores. On the other hand, FTISLAND is currently on their ‘FTSLAND Arena Tour 2013-FREEDOm’ and has Nagano, Tokyo and Saitama left.

FT Island member Lee Hongki will soon be releasing his very first book titled “Lee Hongki Nail Art”! Scheduled to be released on July 12 in both Korea and Japan, Lee Hongki’s book will provide readers with tips on how to care for and beautify nails. According to a representative from Lee Hongki’s agency, the book will also contain Lee Hongki’s own philosophy towards nail art and interesting stories regarding nails. A limited edition of “Lee Hongki Nail Art” will also be released in Korea. The limited edition will contain popular nail products worth 30,000 to 50,000 won. In related news, Lee Hongki and the other members of FT Island are currently preparing for the release of their newest Japanese single “Theory of Happiness,” which will be released on July 24.
