Singer and actor Jang Geun Suk will be performing in two major music festivals in Japan. Jang Geun Suk’s project group Team H has been invited to two popular Japanese summer music festivals, namely ‘MTV Zushi FES 13’ and ‘Summer Sonic 2013’. In the festivals, he will be bumping his shoulders with prominent rock musicians, such as Metallica, Muse and Linkin’ Park. Jang Geun Suk will perform at ‘MTV Zushi FES 13’ on August 9, then move on to ‘Summer Sonic 2013’ the next day on August 10. This will mark his second time at ‘Summer Sonic’, where CNBLUE and FT Island confirmed their performance as well this year. Also, Jang Geun Suk has become the Korean celebrity with the most number of followers on Chinese social networking service Weibo, the Chinese variation of Twitter. The actor amassed 10 million followers in less than two years after setting up the account in August 2011.

Returning to his acting roots, Jang Keun Suk has been casted in an upcoming drama. On June 18, TreeJ Company confirmed Jang Keun Suk’s recent casting in the new drama, Pretty Boy , which is based off of a popular comic book series with the same name. Jang Keun Suk will be playing the character of Dokgo Matte, a man with a pretty face. The story will be rewritten by writer Yoo Young Ah, who also penned the popular movie, The Gift of Room 7 . This will be Jang Keun Suk′s return to dramas after KBS’ Love Rain in 2012. TEAM H, composed of Jang Geunsuk and DJ Big Brother, is bringing “I Just Wanna Have Fun” to the United States. The duo’s tour includes two concerts in California, one in Los Angeles and the other in San Jose. This will be Jang Geunsuk’s first time performing in the United States. Team H was formed in 2012 to pursue his interest and talent in electronic music. After releasing 3 albums, Team H started its first tour in January 2013. The tour “I Just Wanna Have Fun,” which was first held in Hiroshima, Japan, was successful and heldencore tours throughout South Korea, Asia, and America. Although, mainly known as for his acting, Jang Geunsuk has had interest in music since he was young. Actor Jang Geun Suk updated fans on how he did on the TOIEC (Test of English for International Communication) he was stressed about studying for. On the 18th, he tweeted, “ The TOIEC scores are out. I got over 100 points! Yahoo. ” Jang Geun Suk shared last month, “ Tomorrow is the test and today is the first extracurricular assignment.. looking at this, it’s full of language twists and turns.. getting sleepy just looking at it… School dean, can you let me take a test besides the TOEIC which is harder, but tests my Korean language ability… ” Though he did get an awesome score, the actor previously commented that he knew his strengths and weaknesses. Jang Geun Suk will be releasing his second Japanese album! The title for his album this time around is ‘Nature Boy‘, which is scheduled for release on May 29th. He’s reached #1 on Oricon Weekly Charts with his first album ‘Just Crazy‘, so there’s a lot of hype amongst his fans for the upcoming release. In the new album, he announced that he’ll be trying to reflect the 25-year-old Jang Geun Suk who is usually carefree and boyish, but sometimes experiences loneliness and anxiety, through the tracks included. A representative said, “ This is his solo album, different from the project Team H that he made with Big Brother . It’ll be an album that shows Jang Geun Suk’s color well. ” There will be a limited version with a DVD, and a regular version. On April 7th, the actor tweeted a photo and wrote, “ Remembering a great night! ” In the photo he personifies the word shocking, going shirtless and exuding charisma as shows his wide shoulders and collarbone.
