Recently a petition has been circulating online asking SM Entertainment to limit the activities of Super Junior M members Zhou Mi and Henry in official Super Junior events. As a result, Eunhyuk took to the stage in Singapore to address the petition and respond to the criticism about Henry and Zhou Mi.
The petition comes from a group of fans known as only13ers, referring to the fact that Super Junior was once 13 members. The petition makes outrageous demands to SM Entertainment, asking them to limit the activities of “guest members” (as they like to call Zhou Mi and Henry).
Some of the crazy requests? That they not be allowed to make opening or closing remarks at concerts, that they not use the official Super Junior fan color of sapphire blue, and that no information or promotional activity concerning Zhou Mi or Henry be posted on any of the official Super Junior accounts such as facebook, youtube, etc.
While the group of fans known as only13ers have been around for a while, the petition has picked up a lot of attention. Therefore, Eunhyuk took to the stage in Singapore to ask the criticism to stop and implored fans to be supportive of Henry and Zhou Mi as well. He went on to explain that though they weren’t official Super Junior members, they still held a close friendship with them like family and they wanted to include them onstage.
According to one translation of his comments, Eunhyuk stated, “I came out here again because I have something to say.” He explained, “I hope you all won`t misunderstand. We just… those two… we truly support them… I hope you support them as Super Junior M members. Singapore ELF, sorry to talk about this here.”
Judging from some of the comments online, Eunhyuk’s request to support Zhou Mi and Henry will continue to go largely ignored by the only13ers. On the other hand, true E.L.F.s continue to support all the Super Junior members and their sub-units as well.
