Big comeback for Beast
Many big-name singers had comeback performances on cable channel Mnet’s music program “M Countdown” yesterday.
Boy band Beast, which has topped the local music charts after the release of its new song, “Shadow”, last week, had a powerful comeback performance.
Also, a girl group with bouncy and sparkly character presented a song inspired by first love. SM Entertainment’s f(x) performed its song, “Rum Pum Pum Pum”, ending their one-year hiatus from the music scene.
Idol groups were not the only ones who greeted fans on the program. Some singers that gained their popularity in the 1990s and early 2000s also showed their talents.
Koyote presented its new song, “Hollywood”, inspired by disco. Also, singer Lee Jung-hyun, who has a provocative style, came back as a zombie bride with a new song, “V”. It’s her first time back on the scene in three years.
Besides the special comeback performances, the program also showed Infinite, Ailee, Crayon Pop and others.

SM Entertainment Reveals Henry as Its New Solo Artist

SM Entertainment′s first solo singer in 13 years has unveiled himself, and he′s actually a face many know. On May 30, SM Entertainment announced that Super Junior-M member Henry will be releasing his first solo mini album Trap . Mystery teaser images for Henry had been released on May 29, dropping a bomb among music fans and SM fans everywhere. On June 7, Henry will release Trap through various music sites including Melon, Bugs and Genie, and promote his album in Korea. A rep from SM Entertainment said, “Henry is a big talent who has released many self-written songs with his composer team Noize Bank, and also boasts great skill in song, dance, piano, violin and other instruments. JYJ Junsu Reveals Jacket Photo for Pre-Release Song, '11 o'clock' JYJ member Junsu will be making a solo comeback with the name XIA on July 2. Today he released a jacket photo of his pre-release song, “11 o’clock.” This song is about a man who breaks up with his lover and the feeling of emptiness that follows the day after. In the jacket photo released he is wearing an interesting flower headpiece and shows off a mysterious image. An official commented, “Junsu was so into this album that he cried a bit while recording the song.”
