Kis-My-Ft2 is going to appear in the annual New Year's Eve music show Kohaku Uta Gassen
this year. The boy group has been given frequent projects such as CM
endorsements and TV dramas this 2013, which placed them a slot in the NHK program alongside fellow Johnny's group, SMAP, Tokio, and Arashi.
NHK also announced their request of making SMAP's Masahiro Nakai as the host for the 64th Kohaku, making it his 7th time to do so for the music event if he will. He is actually the only artist who holds the most number of hosting stint for the program.
Furthermore, unlike last year, a Korean act is possible to appear this time as they are also planning of putting SNSD or Tohoshinki for the opening performance. Although these two choices are not yet final.
