J.Tune Camp Issues Statement That MBLAQ Will Continue With Three Members

MBLAQ will officially continue as a trio with Seungho, G.O, and Mir. On December 16, J. Tune issued an official statement through a press release, addressing the departure of Lee Joon (Lee Chang Sun) and Thunder (Park Sang Hyun). In the official statement translated by Enews, J.Tune issues an apology to fans over conflicting news regarding the departure of Lee Joon and Thunder. The statement begins with , “Hello, this is J. Tune Camp. First off, we want to apologize for causing confusion and worries to all the fans due to the sudden announcement.” J.Tune then addressed the reasons behind the departure of Lee Joon and Thunder or Cheon Dung in Korean . “The company has gone through the process of discussion regarding Lee Joon and Cheon Dung′s contracts, and after long discussions between the company and the members , we decided to go our separate ways,” the company explained through the statement. “The two members expressed they personally would like to focus on...

Seung Ho, G.O, and MIR Continue to Promote as MBLAQ or Recruit New Members

  After Lee Joon and Thunder officially announced to make their departure from MBLAQ , J.Tune Camp recently revealed more comprehensive future plans for the three remaining members . J. Tune assured worried fans that although two members have left, MBLAQ will continue, whether it be 3 members, or more with the addition of new members.  A rep told Star In, “We have not yet decided whether to continue MBLAQ activities as three members, or whether we will recruit new additions for the group . However, what is certain is that MBLAQ will continue to exist.” Another rep also told Osen, “We are currently in talks about various matters, but it”s too early to reveal specific details or matters regarding the organization of the group. However, we will maintain MBLAQ.” The members as well as the agency previously revealed that a comeback is in store for February, so hopefully we”ll have more updates once 2015 kicks off! 

Lee Joon and Thunder Reportedly Depart From MBLAQ At The End of November

It is officially reported that MBLAQ will be broken up, with Thunder and Lee Joon’s departure from the group. According to a press release from their legal representative on December 16, “ Lee Joon and Thunder’s exclusive contract with company J.Tune Camp and their promotions with MBLAQ have ended following the ‘ Curtain Call ’ concert at the end of November. ” The legal rep continued to explain, “ Also , for their future plans, Lee Joon will commit to filming his drama ‘ Mr. Baek ,’ while Thunder will focus on his music studies for the time being. [Lee Joon and Thunder] would like to express thanks to all of their fans who have shown endless love and support to them for the past 5 years, and they will continue to repay their fans with an even more improved and mature image in the future. ” Are you sad to hear that the two of them will no longer promote as MBLAQ?

Key East Entertainment Denies Rumors of Convincing MBLAQ Lee To Sign New Contract

It is rumored that the famous Key East Entertainment is trying to convince MBLAQ member Lee Joon to cooperate and renew the contract with the agency. Recently, a representative of Key East Entertainment has officially denied all these unfounded information, strongly confirming that they will never cooperating with Lee Joon. A Key East rep told MyDaily on the 9th , “The rumors of us signing Lee Joon are false. We”ve never met up with Lee Joon.” Lee Joon and his fellow members recently wrapped up MBLAQ”s concert, where the group revealed that their future is still up in the air, and their agency J.Tune Camp also stated that it would be difficult to give an official statement on the group before the end of 2014. As Lee Joon”s contract with J.Tune has reached its expiration date, Lee Joon is reported to have received offers from many actor agencies. MBLAQ Hinted At Upcoming Single With New Poster

It”s been a while since we”ve heard from MBLAQ, but they”ve answered fans by releasing a mysterious teaser! J.Tune Camp revealed the above image featuring five members and the message, “(MBLAQ)7: 2014.11.25 Release,”  letting us know that we can expect something from MBLAQ soon. Though things were rocky with member Lee Joon considering leaving the group and Thunder likely to depart as well, five sets of legs in the image indicate that both will most likely be joining MBLAQ for this comeback. Stay tuned for updates!

MBLAQ opens up official Twitter account

MBLAQ has now opened up their very own Twitter account!  Previously, any news related to the boy group was posted on the official agency J.Tune Camp“s Twitter account, but MBLAQ has now created their own official account for everything MBLAQ! Lee Joon tells 'Vogue Girl' the unique way he prepared for his role as a psychopath

Lee Joon posed with flowers for 'Vogue Girl'! In the photos for the magazine, he pulled off a soft yet sharp image, just like his Ryu Tae Oh role on tvN's 'Gapdongi'. The cut where he's lying among the white lilies is actually similar to one of his murders in the drama, so he said, " One of the scenes where Ryu Tae Oh is committing murder in the drama 'Gapdongi' is similar to the concepts of this photoshoot, so it feels like I became the victim. " When asked how he prepared for his psychopath roles, he said, " I looked up the interviews of mentally ill patients through YouTube. "

G.O and Thunder talk about their dating life + their title song

MBLAQ held their showcase for mini-album 'Broken' in Seoul on March 24 and answered some questions, as well.  They were asked about their dating experience to which G.O said, " I should date, but since I can't, I am paranoid ." As he took part in composing and writing the lyrics for "Because There Are Two" and "Still With You," G.O said, " I wrote those from my imagination ."  As Thunder also took part in the making of the album by writing the lyrics for and composing "12 Months," he said, " I can't say that I've never had any experience at all. The members of MBLAQ are giving acting a shot, according to Osen News. They recently filmed for a new show called “The Dramatic” that airs on MBC Everyone. “The Dramatic” is a drama that features various idol groups and their music. Different types of music are featured so audiences can hear lesser known songs, rather than just the popular ones that are overplayed. Each episode features a band or group, and the members star as the main characters. MBLAQ will star in the first episode. Seungho, Thunder, Mir, and Lee Joon act as kids who are competing to be the school representative. G.O. is reported to have a special part in the episode, and he will appear in various parts. MBLAQ wore school uniforms for “The Dramatic,” showing off a different side. Apparently, the episode will feature a dance battle and various other shenanigans. ‘From Misunderstanding to Controversy’ MBLAQ Explains the Criticism MBLAQ explained their side of the story in response to comedian Im Joon Hyuk’s harsh criticism regarding MBLAQ’s attitude during their appearance in his act on comedy show ‘Happy People.’ MBLAQ’s management company stated, “We are taken aback by the criticism because the shoot went smoothly without any problem.” The spokesperson further explained, “We got in touch with the show’s producer and he said that MBLAQ was fine. We are not sure why Im Joon Hyuk said such things. We asked our members and they said everything went all right, too. There must have been some sort of a misunderstanding.” When a staff member on the show was contacted, he told, “I was present during the recording session and there didn’t seem to be any trouble. MBLAQ: "We Like Both Disses and Compliments"

On June 4, MBLAQ held their comeback showcase at the Lotte Card Art Center in Seoul. Before the showcase, MBLAQ sat through a press conference and spoke about their thoughts on their comeback as well as their thoughts on music.   Leader Seungho commented, “While we each had our individual activities and prepared for our album, we didn’t waste any time,” and “Since the team came together for the first time in a while, it feels like each of our lacking aspects have been filled up and we want to show great performances.”   This comeback is MBLAQ’s first in one year and three months since their fourth mini-album “BLAQ% Ver” in March of last year. MBLAQ returned to both fans and the public on June 4, with a press conference and showcase. At the Interpark Art Hall in Hapjeong, the MBLAQ members answered questions and explained the concept of its new album, Sexy Beat. 

MBLAQ to Make Comeback in Korea in June

MBLAQ announced that it would be making a comeback in Korea this June. The announcement was made at the special event for the group′s third Japanese single Mona Lisa-Japanese Version, held from May 16-17 in Tokyo. Fans who had purchased the single were given a chance to enter a draw for tickets to this event. Lucky fans were able to see MBLAQ perform onstage this day, listen to them talk and see them show off their individual charms. A total of 8,000 fans gathered for the four separate events. MBLAQ especially got fans excited by opening up on its plans for the rest of the year. "We′ll be releasing a new single in Korea in June," the members said. "We′ve changed our hairdos in preparation for the single. We′ll showcase a sexy that goes beyond the sexy we′ve shown before." Fans were also able to shake hands with the members this day, adding to the excitement of the occasion.

MBLAQ Announces June Comeback

Fashion magazine “Cosmopolitan Korea” released a behind the scenes video for MBLAQ’s photo shoot through which the group made a surprise announcement of their comeback in June. MBLAQ will be returning with the song “Smoky Girl,” which Mir describes as addicting with a sexy choreography. Fans can look forward to seeing MBLAQ again on stage in the first week of June.   Can’t wait to see MBLAQ again!

MBLAQ gives another possible hint at comeback: Thunder goes hot pink

It looks like MBLAQ is getting closer and closer to comeback, because Thunder has now dyed his hair a bright hot pink! Not many can pull the look off, but Thunder was an exception as he looked good with his new hot pink color. Just like Seungho, his new hair color may signify that the MBLAQ comeback everyone’s been waiting for may be just around the corner. With 2NE1 also rumored to be having a comeback soon, we may just see Thunder and his older sister Dara promoting at the same time! How do you like Thunder’s new hair?

MBLAQ‘s Mir hinted that MBLAQ was going to have a comeback soon! MBLAQ was one of the boy groups rumored to comeback in May. According to music insiders, their new title track has already been selected and it’s just a matter of time before their return as they’re currently deciding on the specific comeback time period. Mir seems to be confirming that comeback, as he tweeted, “ Really soon, we’re gonna have a comeback!! It’s going to be so fun!! Coming soon~!!!! “.
