SHINee is one of the most popular K-Pop groups, and their youngest member, Taemin, just turned 20!
On July 18 Taemin posted on the group’s official website thanking his fans around the world for their support and birthday wishes.But he had another thoughtful moment where he encouraged fans to consider those less fortunate when sending gifts his way.
“Many thanks to all the fans who have wished me happy birthday every year. I haven’t been able to take good care of everyone, but yet often receiving presents that were sent by you to me,” he wrote. “So I am always thankful to you all for these.”
Taemin’s post then continued, “But I hope that everyone can pass on this love to those who needs it more than me. Then the presents would be more meaningful to me.”
The young idol then finished up the message by saying, “Many thanks to everyone for the love, and I hope you can understand my feelings.”
It was a simple, honest, and sincere birthday message that left many fans and netizens with a sense that the singer has a warm heart.
Taemin is often heralded as a loving and attentive star, and his recent post has been attracting praise around the internet.
The SHINee singer is not the only K-Pop idol to send similar messages to fans.As K-Pop continues to rise in popularity around the world, many singers have declined gifts from fans, stating that the money would be better spent on those less fortunate.
Idols like Taemin are always grateful for their fans and feel it is important to spread the love, hence the new trend in birthday gifts.
The youngest SHINee member spent his birthday with his group mates at the 20′s Choice Awards where they won ’20′s Performance’ for their staging of the songs “Dream Girl” and “Why So Serious?”
After receiving the award, the other SHINee members surprised Taemin on stage with a birthday cake and a rendition of the birthday song.
Meanwhile, Taemin is also gaining a lot of attention for his participation in the popular reality series We Got Married.

INFINITE become first artist in 12 years to win #1 on the three major broadcasting stations

INFINITE has been sweeping music shows with their latest single “Man In Love” and they’re now recognized as the first artist in 12 years to win #1 on three major broadcasting stations (SBS, MBC, KBS) with the same song. INFINITE recently achieved #1 on MBC‘s ‘Music Core‘s first broadcast with its new ranking system. INFINITE also achieved #1 on KBS 2TV‘s ‘Music Bank‘ on the 4th and 12th as well as on SBS‘ ‘Inkigayo‘ on March 31st and April 7th. The previous artist and song that was able to achieve such a grand slam was back in 2001 when Fin.K.L‘s “You Wouldn’t Know” achieved #1 on ‘Inkigayo’, ‘Music Bank’, and ‘Music Camp‘ before it became ‘Music Core’.
