Mayday Announces New Japanese Single & Special Two-Day Live at Nippon Budokan
Taiwanese band Mayday is set to rock out at the sacred venue of music - Nippon Budokan, for a total of two days this Summer!
The special two-day live titled "Just Rock It 2015 TOKYO" will be held on the 28th and 29th of August and was announced on the anniversary of the band's formation (29th of March).
These performances will have different themes (~DO YOU EVER SHINE~ on the first day and ~Dakishimete~ on the second day) along with many attractions and surprises! The members expressed their strong wishes to deliver unforgettable inspirations and memories for all the audience.
Also, preceded by these concerts at the Nippon Budokan, the new single "YOUR LEGEND ~Moyuru Inochi~" will be released in June. This latest song will be released in Japanese and will be performed for the first time at the Nippon Budokan!
Fans from outside of Japan will also be able to join this special experience with official travel tours! For more details on the lives, travel tour and the upcoming single, check out the information below the members comment!
ASHIN [Vocal]
I will prepare to sing not only popular songs of Mayday but also many others in Japanese so that this will be a show that Japanese fans can enjoy too. We also make sure not to betray expectations of fans who come from far away. Our biggest hope is to produce a precious moment where all the fans from Asia can be one.
MONSTER [Guitar]
My Japanese musician friends are coming to see the shows as well so I want you all to witness this memorable concert with them. And the new single that will be released in June includes Nine Ball! This is the theme song for the film I starred in and this will be sung by both Ashin and me in Japanese so we hope you like the new single.
STONE [Guitar]
I have been at the Nippon Budokan to watch Eric Clapton’s concert but I never imagined myself standing there and playing guitar this early in my life. Let’s get together with Mayday in August and change the Budokan to a concert venue!
MASA [Bass]
A gigantic elephant robot has been appearing suddenly at our recent shows and I plan to put the elephant robot in my suitcase and bring it to Japan!
MING [Drums]
I am very happy to perform at the Nippon Budokan. I’ve been dreaming of this for a while. Also, because the concerts will be held for 2 days, I don’t have to suffer deciding between “Tsukemen (Dip Noodles)” and “Yakiniku (Japanese Barbecue)” for our after party LOL.

[Issue] Officials Dismiss Rumors That Group will Protest JYJ′s Tokyo Dome Concert

A right wing group in Japan has warned it will be protesting against the JYJ Tokyo Dome concert coming up in April, but officials have said the warning is mere rumor. A media outlet in Japan reported on March 18, "A right wing group, which is against JYJ′s concert [coming to Japan], is currently protesting in the streets, and some say it will be present at the venue on the day of the concert." The outlet quoted an official on the matter, who took a different view of the issue and said it was a struggle of interests in Japanese showbiz. The official hinted that it could be the start of a quarrel between JYJ′s current local production firm and Avex, JYJ′s previous agency in Japan. In other words, the official linked the movements to the compensation suit that Avex recently lost against JYJ and its Korean agency C-JeS Entertainment, saying that such outside powers like Avex could be trying to damage the reputation and image of JYJ. [Issue] Super Junior’s Leeteuk Says Yesung Will Do Fine in the Army

Worrying for his fellow member awaiting army enlistment, Super Junior’s Leeteuk gave an encouraging message to Yesung. On March 27, Leeteuk and Mighty Mouth’s Sangchoo were appointed as PR ambassadors for military affairs Seoul Regional Military Manpower Office.  After going through the appointment ceremony, Leeteuk said a few words for Yesung, who is scheduled to enlist in 2013. “I want to tell Yesung this: cheer up!” said Leeteuk. “I’m sure at this point, Yesung is worried mentally and physically, wondering if he’ll be able to do well. I also had those thoughts, but once I got here, I realized that anyone can do this. So Yesung, it’s really unfortunate when I see you now, but once you enlist, you’ll start feeling sorry for the ones who aren’t in the army yet and time will go fast.” He hoped that Yesung will finish up all of his Super Junior activities well before coming to serve.
