The idol group is throwing its hat into a tight race already packed with rookie groups, and on what sets BTS apart from its competition, member Rap Monster pointed to the fact that the members participated in the production of all of the tracks as well as creating parts of the choreography in We are Bulletproof.
When asked which idol group BTS considers its rival, Rap Monster said, “We don’t have an idol that we want to beat because we’re just taking our first step, but we want people to think of BTS when they think of hip hop idol groups.”
The group is also ahead of the game in that it has attracted a considerable fan following via its blog and YouTube channel, where the members have been consistently uploading their self-produced tracks, and the members said they plan to continue communicating with fans through those mediums.
BTS’ debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool was released on the same day.
