[Movie] FT Island Lee Hong Gi’s Movie Already Sold to Five Countries

Although there’s still a bit of time left before the premiere, FT Island Lee Hong Gi’s movie, Passionate Goodbye has already been sold abroad.

Passionate Goodbye, which is awaiting its May 30 release in Korea, has been sold to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia. The movie will also premiere in Japan in June.

“With refreshing laughter and music, a story full of touching moments, and as rising Asia star, Lee Hong Gi’s movie debut, the movie has appealed to many overseas buyers,” said Niners Entertainment, in charge of domestic and overseas distribution. “We are currently receiving many overseas movie festival invitations and questions, so we believe the interest from overseas buyers will continue.”

Passionate Goodbye is about a trouble making idol singer who gets sentenced to a hospice after unruly behavior.

JYJ to Appear on Australian TV Show "Pop Asia"

JYJ will appear on Australian TV to greet their fans from down under! On July 21, JYJ will appear on “Pop Asia,” to say hello to their Australian fans, as well as share stories about their world tour and update fans about their current activities. “Pop Asia” is Australia’s first ever Asian pop music TV program. The program started in 2011 and holds a high viewership. Sources of the program commented, “Every Saturday and Sunday, we introduce Asian artists for an hour. We’ve been receiving requests for JYJ’s appearance from fans since a long time ago. We were finally able to visit Korea to get an interview with JYJ.” The channel on which “Pop Asia” is broadcast is called SBS (Special Broadcasting Service), which is a public channel and is said to be viewed by over eight million people. Meanwhile, JYJ’s Junsu (XIA) recently released his second solo album “Incredible” on July 15.

CNBLUE”s Yonghwa to make a special cameo appearance in Chinese internet sitcom

CNBLUE"s Yonghwa has been confirmed for a special cameo appearance in the Chinese internet sitcom "Diors Man", portraying the friend of a popular Chinese actor, Da Peng. According to reps from "Diors Man", Yonghwa is very in-tune with the current Chinese culture and has a fairly large following in China. They stated, " Yonghwa understands the Chinese culture and is one of the representatives of Hallyu. His hard work and the demand [of him] from Chinese fans helped with us invite him on the show. " Since the reports, both Yonghwa and Da Pen have updated their respective Weibo accounts with a friendly picture taken on the filming set. Fans were ecstatic to see that Yonghwa will be the first Hallyu star to cameo on the Chinese sitcom. Yonghwa will be making his cameo in season 4 of "Diors Man".
